The Gift of Preksha Meditation
The culmination of Acharya Mahapragya's exploration was Preksha Meditation. In 1975, he revitalised this ancient Jain practice, creating a systematic and accessible method. Preksha Meditation emphasises perceiving without attachment and aversion. Focusing on the subtle workings of the breath, body, psychic colours and centres. Kayotsarg and Anupreksha are the most important feature of Preksha Meditation. Through self-observation, practitioners cultivate awareness of their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations. This practice helps overcome negativity, foster inner peace, and ultimately achieve the purification of the soul which leads to spiritual growth.
