Glorious in Peace, Sharp in silence, humble in learning and specialist in simplicity is the brief introduction of Acharya Shree Mahashraman, the eleventh Acharya, and supreme head of Jain Swetembar Terapanth group. This pious soul, great thinker endowed with extraordinary genius and minute insight and intuition was born on 13th of May 1962 at Sardarsahar, a small town in Rajasthan. At the age of 12 years in 5th May 1974, he became a monk at Sardarshahar. Due to the firmness of his internal austerity, in 9th September, 1989, he was honored as 'Mahashraman'. Under the able guidance of Acharya Tulsi and Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji, he proved himself as an ardent disciple and H.H. Acharya Mahapragya, honoured him as 'Mahatapasvi' or 'A Great Austere'. At the age of 35, in 14th September, 1997 at Gangashahar, he was designated as "Yuvacharya" by Acharya Mahapragya. When H.H.Acharya Mahapragya left for his heavenly abode, he became Acharya on 9 May 2010. Padabhishek was held at Sardarshahar on 23 May 2010. This impressionable personality is a Scholar, writer, brilliant speaker and meditator.

His external and internal personality overflows with dignity and attraction. Bereft of worldly desires, unattached, unperturbed, humble, and loyal, full of spark, soft-spoken, generous, and open minded – are just some of the words that can be used to describe his inner self. His personality is integration of illuminating and forgiving, spiritual and leadership, principle and pragmatic collaboration. His demeanor full of love attracts everyone instantly, even those meeting him for the first time. Such a rare balanced personality is truly possessed by him. His work and actions reflect his ocean of knowledge, intellectual wisdom, atomic perception and far-reaching insight. Despite being an Acharya of a religious order, his views are liberal and secular. He has a firm conviction to promote nonviolence, moral values and principles.

Acharya Shri Mahashraman, who has attained the true depth of contemplation through the practice of Preksha Meditation, inspires mankind for inner transformation. He, under the guidance of Acharya Shri Mahapragya, the Preksha Meditation pioneer, has soulfully amalgamated the secrets of meditation for many years. His Holiness is an immaculate example of renunciation with vigilance. Practicing meditation in the peaceful ambience at the dawn of the day is an important part of his daily life. He is among the few Preceptors and Thinkers who have not only promoted the concept of worshipping the soul far and wide, but also live and practice it constantly. Thousands of seminars and camps of Preksha Meditation are been organized in the country and all over the world, under the direction of H.H. Acharya Mahashraman. People around the globe have experienced peace and happiness by the practices enunciated by him in the Preksha Meditation camps.

Acharya Mahashraman has been associated with his mentor, Acharyashree Tulsi and Acharya Mahapragya as an inseparable colleague in all their social reformative programmes like Dowry System, Purdah System, Child Marriage, blind faith on orthodox beliefs, keeping widows in seclusion for twelve months etc. under the Anuvrat Movement. In this modern era, Anuvrat Anushasta Mahashraman, is skillfully navigating the Anuvrat Movement by spreading the message of 'Self-discipline is Life'.

Science of Living, a vital educational program for the integrated advancement of the next generation, founded by the Lokmaharshi Acharya Shri Mahapragya, is now under the auspicious guidance of Acharya Shri Mahashraman. His Holiness is also honored as the 'Anushasta' of Jain Vishva Bharati University, the first Jain University across the world. He is an erudite scholar of Jain Agamas. An organized programme of non-violence is being run by His Holiness continuously. Under this programme, 300 centers have been developed where the important work of removing the reasons of violence from the roots is being done.

Through his prolific writings, he has contributed immense towards character building in our nation. Aao Hum Jeena Sikhe (Lets learn to live), Dukh Mukti ka Marg (Way to triumph over sorrows), Sanwad Bhagwan Se (A Dialogue with God), Kya Kehta hai Jain Vangmay (What does The Jain Aagam Say), Mahatma Mahapragya, Shemushi, are some of the books penned by him. Editing of Jain Aagams and Scriptures are being skillfully handled by him. His persistent hard work has resulted in the Dictionary of Jain technical words and its meanings, which is significant contribution to the world of scholars and he is playing a pivotal role in preserving the Rajasthani literary works.
